On the 7th, Lee Dong-hwan, Mayor of Goyang Special City, attended the opening ceremony of the housing exhibition hall for blocks A4, S5, and S6 in the Changneung District, held at KINTEX Exhibition Hall 2.

The opening ceremony was also graced by key figures including Jin Hyun-hwan, Vice Minister of the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, Han Jun-ho, Member of the National Assembly from the Democratic Party, and Lee Han-joon, President of Korea Land and Housing Corporation (LH).

At the ceremony, Mayor Lee Dong-hwan stated, "We will spare no effort to support Goyang Changneung New Town in becoming a sustainable self-sufficient city equipped with seamless transportation, quality jobs, and an eco-friendly environment," adding, "We will actively work to develop it into a living space that Goyang citizens can take pride in."

Changneung New Town is set to become a representative residential area for the future of Goyang Special City, designed as a future-oriented city with a pleasant living environment and self-sufficient functions. In this regard, the opening of the housing exhibition hall marks an important first step toward the successful development of Changneung New Town.

The first official subscription for the Goyang Changneung District this year will supply a total of 1,792 households, with the expected move-in date scheduled for January 2028.

With various living infrastructures nearby, such as the Greater Seoul Metropolitan Express Railroad (GTX), large supermarkets, and Changneung Stream, it is expected to set a new standard that enhances the quality of future life beyond simple housing.
