Securing 340 Million KRW in National Funding
Six High-Quality Performances Planned for This Year
Boseong County, Jeollanam-do announced on the 7th that it has secured 340 million KRW in national funding after being selected for five projects under the '2025 Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support Project' and one project under the '2025 Performing Arts Creation Entity Contest Project'.
The '2025 Performing Arts Regional Distribution Support Project' is overseen by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and organized by the Arts Management Support Center. The project aims to expand cultural enjoyment opportunities in culturally underserved regions and support the enjoyment of various pure art genres in local areas.

The '2025 Performing Arts Creation Entity Contest Project' is organized by the Arts Council Korea and seeks to ensure the mid- to long-term working conditions of performing artists, thereby enhancing the sustainability and vitality of the performing arts ecosystem.
The selected performances for this year are as follows: ▲April - 'Star of Gagok' (Hambahgusum Culture and Arts Planning) ▲June - 'Akdangwangchil Concert_Maeu Chora!' (Akdangwangchil) ▲July - 'Secret Song' (San Theater Company) ▲September - 'Snap SNAP' (Groozam Production) ▲October - 'God of Money' (Urisori Baraji) ▲November - 'Jarak: About Things Disappearing' (Bulsechul). These performances will be sequentially showcased at the Boseong County Culture and Arts Center starting this April.
A county official stated, "We are delighted to provide various cultural and artistic content to our residents by being selected for the largest and highest-quality performing arts project in the Honam region," adding, "We will continue to broaden the cultural enjoyment of our residents by securing additional performances in the future."
