Trot singer Song Dae-gwan, who gained great popularity with songs such as 'Haetteulnal,' has passed away at the age of 79.

According to the deceased's family on the 7th, Song Dae-gwan complained of poor condition the day before and visited the emergency room at Seoul National University Hospital. During treatment, he suddenly passed away from a heart attack that morning.
He was known to have undergone surgery three times due to chronic illness but had difficulty recovering. The funeral will be held at the funeral hall of Seoul National University Hospital. KBS 'Gayo Stage' writer Choi Heon said in a phone interview with Yonhap News, "Originally, the deceased was scheduled to appear on 'Gayo Stage' next week, but a few days ago he called to say he was not feeling well and needed to postpone his appearance," adding, "We talked until then, but he suddenly passed away."
Song Dae-gwan debuted in 1967 with 'Injeong Maneun Ajusshi' and became famous in 1975 with the hit 'Haetteulnal.' Afterwards, he released many hit songs such as 'Nebakja,' 'Yuhaengga,' and 'Chapyo Hanjang,' and was called one of the four kings of trot along with Tae Jin-ah, Hyun Chul, and Seol Woon-do.
