Hosted by the National Statistical Office and implemented by local governments, this survey is a complete enumeration statistical survey that covers all businesses engaged in industrial activities nationwide, collecting data on 10 items including business location, type of business, number of employees, organizational form, and annual sales.
The survey targets all businesses engaged in industrial activities as of December 31, 2024, or the survey date. Suwon City has 133,409 businesses.
The survey will be conducted through on-site interviews, along with telephone surveys, internet surveys, and distribution surveys (questionnaires).

Due to growing concerns about safety accidents in unmanned stores recently, the current status of unmanned stores has also been included in the survey this time.
The National Statistical Office will publish the results of this survey through the National Statistical Portal (KOSIS) in December.
Suwon City plans to use the data collected from this survey as basic data for policy formulation, business management planning, academic research, and regional income estimation.
A Suwon City official stated, "All contents of the business survey are strictly protected under the Statistics Act, and the collected data will be used only for statistical purposes," and added, "We ask all businesses to actively cooperate so that reasonable policies can be prepared based on accurate statistics."
