Jeonnam Provincial University (Acting President Jang Heonbeom) and Mokpo National University (President Song Hacheol) have signed a written agreement to jointly support the Ministry of SMEs and Startups' "Startup-Centered University Project" and have decided to actively collaborate to promote local and youth entrepreneurship.
This agreement focuses on combining the startup support capabilities of both universities to revitalize the local economy and create a youth entrepreneurship ecosystem.
The "Startup-Centered University Project" is a program that selects universities to play a central role in the startup ecosystem, encouraging them to establish systematic governance for regional startup support and to operate excellent entrepreneurship support programs.
The two universities plan to maximize their respective strengths through the agreement to build an effective startup support model, with the goal of further activating the regional startup ecosystem and supporting the successful operation of startup companies.
They also plan to jointly apply for and promote the "Digital Specialized University for Small Business Owners" project.
Acting President Jang Heonbeom said, "Based on the university's experience in startup support, we will develop regionally customized startup programs and contribute to revitalizing the local startup ecosystem."
