Binggrae announced on the 7th that it will raise the prices of some coffee, fruit and vegetable beverages, and ice cream products starting next month.
The main products with price increases include Acapella Size Up 350㎖, which will rise from 2,400 won to 2,600 won, and Ttaom 235㎖, which is expected to increase from 2,400 won to 2,700 won.
Among ice cream products, Dewisanyang and others will increase from 800 won to 1,000 won, and Super Cone and Bungeo Samanco will go up from 1,200 won to 1,400 won. Subsidiary Haitai Ice's Bravo Cone and Simona will also rise from 1,200 won to 1,400 won.
A Binggrae official explained, "The cost pressure is intensifying due to recent increases in raw material prices, labor costs, and energy expenses. In particular, the prices of key raw materials for these products, such as coffee, cocoa, and fruit and vegetable concentrates, have risen sharply and are worsening due to the exchange rate increase."
The day before, Lotte Wellfood also announced an average price increase of 9.5% for 26 types of frozen confectionery, including raising World Cone from 1,200 won to 1,400 won.
