According to the Korea Meteorological Administration on the 6th, some areas may see very heavy snowfall of about 3 to 5 cm per hour during a short period between today and the afternoon of the 7th.


Morning temperatures will remain below freezing in most areas, and strong winds will make it feel even colder.


On the morning of the 7th, the lowest temperatures are expected to be -5 degrees Celsius in Jangseong and Damyang, -4 degrees in Yeonggwang, Gokseong, Naju, Hwasun, and Jangheung, -3 degrees in Gwangju, Hampyeong, Yeongam, Boseong, and Gurye, -2 degrees in Muan, Mokpo, Haenam, Gangjin, Goheung, Suncheon, and Gwangyang, -1 degree in Shinan, Jindo, and Yeosu, and 0 degrees in Wando.


The highest daytime temperatures are expected to be -3 degrees in Yeonggwang, Jangseong, Gokseong, and Hwasun, -2 degrees in Gwangju, Hampyeong, Naju, Damyang, Gurye, Yeongam, and Boseong, -1 degree in Muan, Mokpo, Haenam, Jangheung, and Suncheon, 0 degrees in Jindo, Gangjin, Goheung, and Yeosu, and 1 degree in Shinan, Wando, and Gwangyang, which is similar to the previous day.


Waves on the sea will range from 1.5 to 3.5 meters high in both the West and South coastal waters. Fine and ultrafine dust levels will be 'moderate' until the morning and improve to 'good' from the afternoon.


A Korea Meteorological Administration official said, "In most areas of Gwangju and Jeonnam, strong winds with instantaneous speeds of 55 km/h (15 m/s) or higher are expected, so please pay attention to facility management and safety accidents."
