The Gyeongbuk Workplace and Factory Saemaeul Movement Yeongyang-gun Council held a Saemaeul Family Yutnori Tournament on the 6th at the Yeongyang-gun Community Center.
This event was promoted to foster harmony and friendship among members and to inherit the nation's traditional culture, with about 200 participants including members of the Yeongyang-gun Saemaeul Association and related personnel.
The event, funded by donations from the Saemaeul Association executives and members as well as participation fees from each group, offered not only team Yutnori competitions but also celebratory performances, prize money, and abundant giveaways, providing a rich and enjoyable experience for the participating Saemaeul families.
Kim Jong-tak, president of the Yeongyang-gun Saemaeul Association, said, “I hope this becomes a precious time for communication and togetherness through Yutnori, a traditional folk game.”
County Governor Oh Do-chang, who attended the event, stated, “I am honored to have this time for Saemaeul family harmony and exchange, and I hope this year of Eulsa will be a year of greater leaps forward with the Saemaeul spirit.”
