A-Route announced on the 6th that its recycling-specialized subsidiary, A-Route Eco, successfully held the completion ceremony for Resource Circulation Plant No. 1 located in Seosan-si, Chungnam.
The completion ceremony was attended by key domestic and international figures and recycling experts, including Seosan city officials, △ National Assembly member Im Oh-kyung △ Former Vice Minister of Environment Lee Jeong-seop △ Wolfgang Kostinger, Commercial Counselor of the Austrian Embassy Trade Office in Korea △ Dr. Kim Kyung-ho, Advisor at SK Eco Plant △ Kim Seok-wan, President of the Korea Waste Resource Circulation Society △ Jo Joo-hyun, Director of the Environmental Industry Division at the Environmental Industry Technology Institute, among others.
Additionally, key executives from Germany’s Zerma, Austria’s Komptech, and Binder also participated, strengthening their cooperative relationship with A-Route Eco. These three companies manufacture advanced equipment optimized for the recycling industry and supply equipment to the global market.
A-Route Eco collaborated with European recycling equipment specialists to apply world-class facilities in establishing the Seosan plant. The Seosan Resource Circulation Plant spans approximately 20,000 square meters (about 6,200 pyeong), and Plant No. 1 alone can recycle over 75,000 tons of waste synthetic resin annually. A-Route Eco plans to gradually expand its capacity (CAPA) with Plants No. 2 and 3 in the future.
Starting this year, A-Route Eco intends to actively maximize sales in the recycling business. The equipment began operation immediately upon completion last month. The company explained that by leveraging the plant’s geographical advantage of being close to the Daesan petrochemical complex and the metropolitan area, it will secure raw materials stably and supply fuel to construction material companies.
An A-Route official stated, “Through cooperation with global market-leading companies, we were able to complete a resource circulation plant equipped with world-class recycling facilities and Asia’s top-level automation systems. A-Route Eco’s Seosan plant is gaining attention worldwide as a next-generation resource circulation plant that maximizes productivity and yield through large-scale facilities and advanced automation technology.”
He added, “As the global recycling market rapidly grows, cost reduction through large-scale automation is a key factor in establishing a sustainable resource circulation ecosystem. We will continue to strengthen cooperation with domestic and international companies and invest in technology and facilities to leap forward as a global leader in recycling.”
