During the campaign, integrity guides and promotional materials were distributed to emphasize the importance of an honest public service life, creating an atmosphere where public officials could voluntarily pledge to practice integrity and reaffirm their determination for fair and transparent administration.
At the integrity pledge ceremony, senior officials of grade 4 and above in Pyeongtaek City vowed to take the lead in fostering an honest public service culture by prohibiting improper solicitations and acceptance of money or valuables, eradicating abuse of power, preventing conflicts of interest, and eliminating drunk driving.
Jung Jang-seon, Mayor of Pyeongtaek City, said, "Let us all strive to become public officials who do not just speak about integrity but deeply feel and practice it themselves," and urged, "Please wash away internal conflicts such as the temptation of solicitations or misconduct as cleanly as washing your hands."
Meanwhile, the city is carrying out various activities to establish a transparent and clean organizational culture, including distributing integrity information leaflets and sending integrity text messages to civil petitioners, conducting department-specific integrity training, and operating an integrity library.
