Appointment as Expert Members of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council
Professors Kim Do-hoon and Kim Baek-min to Advise on Government R&D Policy and Investment

Professor Kim Do-hoon (majoring in Marine Fisheries Management) and Professor Kim Baek-min (majoring in Environmental Atmospheric Science) of Pukyong National University were appointed as expert members of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council.

Professors Kim Do-hoon and Kim Baek-min were appointed as expert members in the fields of Bio-manufacturing and Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries, and Public, Marine, and Environmental sectors, respectively, at the "Workshop for Expert Members by Technical Fields under the Steering Committee of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council" held by the Ministry of Science and ICT on February 5 at EL Tower in Seoul, where they received their appointment certificates.

The expert committees under the Steering Committee of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council provide advice and review on various agendas and projects related to government research and development policies and investments, including directions for government R&D investment, formulation of investment strategies by technical fields, and budget review for government R&D projects.

The Ministry of Science and ICT expanded and reorganized the eight expert committees by technical fields under the Steering Committee of the National Science and Technology Advisory Council into eleven committees and appointed 165 expert members. The term of office for the expert members appointed on this day is two years, until January 2027.
