Ulsan City Provides Emergency Support of Quarantine Supplies to 'High-Risk Infectious Disease Vulnerable Facilities'

Ulsan City Distributes About 350,000 Masks
to 1,255 Elderly Welfare and Infection-Vulnerable Facilities

Ulsan City is urgently providing quarantine supplies to elderly welfare facilities with a high-risk population and infection-vulnerable facilities due to the recent surge in various respiratory infectious diseases.

This measure follows Mayor Kim Doo-gyeom's emergency directive to "distribute quarantine masks to elderly welfare facilities frequently used by seniors and infection-vulnerable facilities where group infections are a concern to prevent infectious diseases."

The distributed supplies include approximately 350,000 KF94 masks, which will be provided to a total of 1,255 locations: 924 elderly welfare facilities, 224 nursing hospitals, 10 mental health promotion facilities, and 87 facilities for the disabled.

Along with this, Ulsan City has strengthened public awareness campaigns in response to the surge in respiratory infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on thorough influenza and COVID-19 vaccinations.

Additionally, the city has requested district and county health centers to encourage unvaccinated children and seniors in high-risk groups to receive vaccinations as soon as possible to prevent infections and protect health.

An official from Ulsan City stated, "We will do our best to respond to respiratory infectious diseases by protecting high-risk groups in infection-vulnerable facilities through on-site visits, encouraging contracted doctors, and activating visiting vaccination teams," and urged, "Please strictly adhere to infectious disease prevention rules such as cough etiquette, wearing masks, regular handwashing, and indoor ventilation."
