Ecovacs Launches ‘Deebot X8 Pro Omni’ with Automatic Mop Cleaning Technology in Korea

Global robot home appliance company ECOVACS showcased the ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI,’ featuring the Ozmo Roller automatic mop cleaning technology first revealed at CES 2025, at the ECOVACS media conference, creating a new product demonstration zone to highlight its innovative capabilities.

Under the brand message “The New ECOVACS Rewrites the Floor,” ECOVACS introduced the new floor cleaning robot ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI.’ This product is equipped with innovative key technologies including ▲Ozmo Roller automatic mop cleaning technology ▲TrueEdge 2.0 adaptive corner cleaning technology ▲AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni Approach function, enabling uninterrupted perfect cleaning and setting a new standard for cleaning, aiming to lead the robot vacuum cleaner market.

The core technology of the ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI,’ the Ozmo Roller automatic mop cleaning technology, addresses cross-contamination and bacterial growth issues in robot vacuum cleaners. It continuously supplies clean water to the roller through 16 clean water nozzles while automatically cleaning in real time, removing contaminated water with a scraper to prevent cross-contamination. It then immediately resupplies clean water and maintains a clean mop without odor through high-speed scrubbing at 200 times per minute, preventing secondary contamination.

Unlike conventional circular or track-type mopping methods, the Ozmo Roller prevents slipping, boasting higher pressure and friction. The Ozmo Roller combined with AI repetitive mopping effectively removes stubborn and baked-on stains, while also ensuring quick floor drying.

The ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI’ is equipped with ▲TrueEdge 3D edge sensor ▲adaptive roller ▲adaptive side brush, thoroughly solving the edge and corner cleaning issues that previous robot vacuum cleaners missed, eliminating the inconvenience of users having to finish cleaning manually.

Based on high-precision structured light technology, the enhanced TrueEdge 3D edge sensor reconstructs spatial corners into 3D images to identify protruding locations and maintain a safe distance. It flexibly responds to complex and challenging spatial structures such as baseboards, thresholds, and gaps under furniture without colliding with obstacles, enabling delicate cleaning.

The adaptive roller continuously expands and contracts to minimize cleaning blind spots and maximize cleaning coverage. The adaptive side brush, designed for deep and narrow corner cleaning, remains folded during general cleaning but instantly expands upon instruction from the 3D sensor algorithm, allowing efficient cleaning.

The ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI’ has become smarter with the addition of the AIVI 3D 3.0 Omni Approach function. This technology enhances the robot’s AI algorithm capabilities to recognize object contours more accurately, expanding the cleaning range and actively avoiding obstacles. Combined with the TrueEdge 2.0 adaptive corner cleaning technology, it helps efficiently clean all object edges without worry about obstacles.

By combining AI and advanced sensors, it delivers excellent performance even in unexpected situations. Unlike the conventional method of recognizing pre-programmed specific objects using a visual-language model (VLM), it identifies and avoids obstacles in real time by detecting object contours. It also accurately identifies objects that previous AI models could not recognize, pioneering efficient cleaning paths and increasing user satisfaction.

Additionally, the ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI’ features an ultra-slim design of 98mm, allowing easy cleaning under narrow furniture. With a powerful suction of 18,000Pa and ZeroTangle 2.0 anti-tangle technology, it guarantees perfect cleaning without worries about hair tangling. Furthermore, the automatic mop lifting function prevents carpets from getting wet. The mop cleaning temperature can be adjusted from 40°C to 75°C, and the 63°C hot air drying function keeps it odor-free even after long-term use. It is also equipped with YIKO-GPT (Eco-GPT), enabling control of the robot vacuum with just a voice command.

The ‘DEEBOT X8 PRO OMNI’ was officially launched domestically on the 4th in white for the standard model and black for the direct water supply compatible model. Especially, the limited-quantity direct water supply compatible model, which lacks a purified water tank and wastewater tank, offers a compact height of 39cm for neat storage. However, installation feasibility should be checked first considering the installation environment. It will be available at a special launch discount through a Naver Hot Issue live broadcast on the 6th, followed by live broadcasts on Coupang, 11st, and Gmarket.
