On the 5th, Dangjin City in Chungnam Province and the Chungnam Industry-Academia Convergence Institute announced that they are accepting applications for participants in the Youth Challenge Support Project on a rolling basis throughout the year.

The Youth Challenge Support Project is designed to provide customized programs for young people, aiming to boost their motivation to seek employment and support their participation in the labor market and job placement.

This project is recruiting a total of 120 participants and is divided into long-term (25 weeks, 200 hours), mid-term (15 weeks, 120 hours), and short-term (5 weeks, 40 hours) programs. All training courses are offered free of charge.

Upon completion of the training, participants will receive a stipend of 2.7 million KRW for the long-term program, 1.7 million KRW for the mid-term program, and 500,000 KRW for the short-term program.

The target applicants include young people who have given up on job-seeking (aged 18-34, with no employment, entrepreneurship, or vocational training history in the past six months) and locally specialized youth (aged 18-39 residing in Dangjin City, or aged 18-34 working part-time for less than 30 hours per week). Students currently enrolled in or on leave from school, as well as those scheduled for mandatory military service within six months, are not eligible to apply.

A city official stated, "The Youth Challenge Support Project will be conducted at Dangjin Youth Town Narae, offering tailored programs such as in-depth counseling, case management, confidence building, career exploration, and job competency enhancement. We plan to support young people's job preparation through systematic employment services, including linkage with the National Employment Support System."
