Agreement Signed Between University Job Plus Center and Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter
Supporting the Independence of Out-of-Home Youth Through Career and Employment Programs
Shilla University (President Heo Nam-sik) is undertaking a project to support the independence of out-of-home youth.
On the 5th, Shilla University announced that its University Job Plus Center and the Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter signed an agreement to support the independence of shelter youth.
Earlier, on January 24, at the large conference room on the 2nd floor of the Shilla University main building, Director Jang Hee-jung of the University Job Plus Center, Director Jeon Seon-young of the Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter, and key stakeholders attended a meeting where they agreed to cooperate on various support projects to help youth become independent, including △ exchange of opinions and information for the joint development of both organizations △ development of education and programs for independence support △ career and employment support (counseling, company visits, providing employment opportunities).
Director Jeon Seon-young of the Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter said, “This agreement was made with the interest of the local community, and we will provide wholehearted support so that shelter youth can feel a sense of connection and belonging and become independent in a healthy way.”
Jang Hee-jung, Director of the University Job Plus Center at Shilla University, said, “We plan to further expand existing career and employment programs and cooperate with the shelter to help youth directly experience the professional world and design their own career paths.”
On the 24th, representatives from Silla University Career Plus Center and Busan City Male Short-Term Youth Shelter signed an agreement.
