32 Participants... Six-Month Course Program
Yeosu Gwangyang Port Authority (President Park Sunghyun, YGPA) announced on the 5th that the 2nd Port Logistics Leaders Academy will be operated for six months starting on the 25th, with a special lecture by Seo Byungyun, Chairman of LogisAll.
The Port Logistics Leaders Academy was established to bring together employees from related businesses and organizations at Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports, as well as local opinion leaders, to explore ways to revitalize Yeosu and Gwangyang Ports and their future development, and to establish governance for building a competitive smart port.
Last year's 1st Leaders Academy (July to December last year) included six special lectures and self-directed learning discussions featuring figures such as Kitack Lim, Honorary Secretary-General of the IMO, and Lee Myungwoo, Vice Chairman of Dongwon Industries. Participants studied the overall shipping industry and exchanged ideas to enhance the competitiveness of Yeosu Gwangyang Port, producing 24 graduates.
This 2nd Port Logistics Leaders Academy will be operated for six months from February to July with a total of 32 participants. The program will feature a variety of educational courses, including lectures by experts from various fields and self-directed learning discussions based on reference books.
The first lecture on the 25th, delivered by Chairman Seo Byungyun, will cover his journey in logistics from the beginning to the present, focusing on methods for realizing advanced logistics systems and providing a systematic understanding of logistics.
Park Sunghyun, President of YGPA, stated, "We will do our best to ensure the successful operation of the 2nd Leaders Academy following the success of the 1st.
