Damyang County in Jeollanam-do announced on the 5th that it will expand the 'Women's Farmer Happiness Voucher Support Project' by injecting additional county funds this year to enhance welfare services and improve the quality of life for women farmers.

The Women's Farmer Happiness Voucher Support Project provides welfare points to women farmers, which can be used like cash in various industries such as culture, sports, travel, and restaurants until the end of the year.

Eligible applicants are women farmers aged 20 to 80 who have been residing in Jeollanam-do for at least one year as of January 1 this year and are actually engaged in agriculture or fisheries. Applications can be submitted at the local town or township office by the 28th. Those with business registrations, full-time jobs, or who are recipients of similar welfare services are excluded from eligibility.

Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, the county has raised the support amount to 300,000 won by adding 100,000 won from county funds to realize its core policy of creating a 'prosperous and wealthy rural community.' The eligible age has also been expanded from 75 to 80 years old.

The Happiness Voucher, a Jeollanam-do support project, provides 200,000 won in points per person annually, which is credited to the recipient's Nonghyup Chaeum Card. The additional 100,000 won provided by the county is distributed as an anonymous prepaid card through the town or township offices.

County Governor Lee Byeongno emphasized, "Since the launch of the 8th popularly elected administration, we have made agricultural policy our top priority and implemented various preferential policies for farmers. We will continue to contribute to the development of rural areas and the improvement of universal welfare through support policies for women farmers."
