Attendance at the 'BIS CGFS-CPMI Expert Meeting'
Lee Chang-yong, Governor of the Bank of Korea, will attend the 'BIS CGFS (Committee on the Global Financial System) - CPMI (Committee on Payments and Market Infrastructures) Expert Meeting' hosted by the Bank of Japan (BOJ) in Tokyo, Japan, on the 7th.
The expert meeting will be held under the theme of 'Payment System Development and Financial Stability.' Experts from major central banks, academia, and private financial institutions will participate.
Governor Lee will participate in the event as the chair of the CGFS and exchange views with experts from the U.S. Federal Reserve (Fed), the European Central Bank (ECB), and others on the recent developments in payment systems, their impact on financial stability and the global financial market, and future policy challenges.
Meanwhile, during his business trip, Governor Lee plans to explain the Korean economic situation and policy response efforts through meetings with local financial sector figures.
