The Agricultural Technology Center of Hamyang-gun, Gyeongnam, is recruiting trainees for the 6th Chrysanthemum Bonsai Cultivation Technology Training, which will be held from March to October.
This training program provides residents with participatory hands-on experiences through horticultural activities and is designed to promote a healthy cultural life for the county residents.
The chrysanthemum bonsai training will begin with an opening ceremony on March 20 and will be conducted twice a month for eight months, focusing on practical lessons at the Science Farming Demonstration Field within the Agricultural Technology Center.
After the training, in November, trainees will have the opportunity to showcase their skills by exhibiting the chrysanthemum bonsai pieces they have cultivated throughout the year.
Applications will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis starting February 12, and anyone residing in Hamyang-gun can apply.
The number of trainees to be accepted is 35. Applicants can download the application form from the Hamyang-gun Office website and submit it either by visiting the Agricultural Technology Center in person or via email. The final selection results will be announced on February 17.
A county official stated, “We hope that the chrysanthemum bonsai training will help activate home gardening and contribute to the healthy leisure activities and improved quality of life for local residents.”
