Systematic and Efficient Management
Realizing the "Forest-Connection Happy City" Vision
Busan Gijang-gun recently announced on the 4th that it is approaching the realization of the "Forest-Connection Happy City" vision by successfully completing the project for "Establishing a Database and Management Plan for the Dureumsan and Bulgwangsan Hiking Trails."
This project was carried out as part of Gijang-gun's long-term strategy to manage major forest resources in a modern and systematic way. It is a consecutive achievement following last year's establishment of the Ilgwangsan hiking trail database. In particular, the project focused on fostering a future-oriented forest welfare foundation where nature and people coexist harmoniously.
Through this project, the county surveyed hiking trail routes, safety facilities, and convenience facilities for Dureumsan and Bulgwangsan, and completed the hiking trail database by attaching management tags and NFC tags to signboards and facilities.
With the completion of the project, residents using these hiking trails can easily access information about the trails and facilities using NFC tags and mobile devices, allowing them to enjoy hiking safely and conveniently. Additionally, the hiking trail database is expected to enable more efficient maintenance and repair of local trails and facilities.
This year, the county plans to expand the project to other hiking trails and continue efforts to provide residents with high-quality forest welfare and a systematic hiking environment, thereby realizing the "Forest-Connection Happy City" vision.
County Governor Jeong Jong-bok stated, "This project is an important stepping stone toward becoming a Forest-Connection Happy City that links people, forests, and the future," adding, "By establishing a hiking trail management system utilizing smart technology, we will create an environment where residents can feel safe and enjoy happiness in nature."
