Namwon City in Jeonbuk is recruiting new 'Chakhan-gagyeok-eopso' (Good Price Stores) until the 14th.
According to the city on the 4th, this recruitment aims to contribute to local price stabilization by offering affordable prices and excellent quality.
Eligible applicants include businesses in the city operating in the personal service sectors such as food service, beauty salons, and laundry services. Starting this year, corporate businesses and stores specializing in takeout and delivery can also apply.
However, franchise stores are still excluded from eligibility.
Applications can be submitted in person at the Job and Economy Division at City Hall or via email by 6 PM on the 14th, along with the application form, business registration certificate, and local tax payment certificate.
The designation of Chakhan-gagyeok-eopso will be determined after an on-site evaluation of price, hygiene, and cleanliness according to the criteria set by the Ministry of the Interior and Safety. The results are expected to be announced next month.
Designated Good Price Stores will receive various benefits, including installation of a Good Price Store sign, customized item support, 30% support for water bills, support for hygiene and disinfection services and electrical safety inspections, and facility improvement support (such as replacement of signs and window frames).
A city official said, "We hope that many local businesses will apply to help stabilize local prices, and we will continue to actively discover and support Good Price Stores in the future."
