Wansan Library in Jeonju, Jeollabuk-do announced on the 3rd that it will hold an interactive exhibition titled 'Books and Art in the Maze' at Wansan Maru (Exhibition Hall) on the first floor of the library until the 27th.
This exhibition, organized for children and families visiting the library during the winter vacation, is an interactive event where participants can enjoy various hands-on activities. The exhibition features colorful masking tape decorations on the floor and walls, creating a three-dimensional space for diverse experiential play.
The exhibition space is divided into several zones: a floor maze play zone using masking tape, an experience zone utilizing taping art and old books, traditional play areas with games such as Sabangchigi, Ojingeo Game, and Ttakjichigi, a photo zone themed around the writer's room and traditional fairy tales, and a DIY bookshelf-making area where participants can create their own bookshelves.
The exhibition is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and weekends, except for holidays and the library's regular closing day on Fridays. Each session is 60 minutes long and is available to children and families who register in advance.
For group visits from kindergartens and daycare centers, reservations are available every Tuesday and Thursday between 9 a.m. and 12 p.m.
Participants can register online through the Jeonju City Library website or sign up in person at Wansan Library. For more information, inquiries can be made by phone.
Choi Hyeonjang, Director of the City Library Headquarters, stated, "We aim to continuously provide opportunities for citizens to enjoy art and culture at the library," and added, "We hope that through this interactive exhibition combining books and art, citizens will have enjoyable and meaningful experiences at the library."
