Korea GM January Sales of 31,618 Units... Trax Crossover Leads

26.8% Decrease Compared to the Same Month Last Year

GM Korea Operations (hereinafter Korea GM) announced on the 3rd that it sold 31,618 units in January, a 26.8% decrease compared to the same month last year.

Overseas sales recorded a total of 30,389 units, driven by the Chevrolet Trax crossover (including derivative models) which sold 20,867 units in overseas markets. The Chevrolet Trailblazer (including derivative models) sold 9,522 units globally.


Domestic sales totaled 1,229 units, with the Chevrolet Trax crossover selling 953 units. The Chevrolet Tahoe sold 14 units, marking a 100% increase compared to the same month last year, continuing a positive market response.


The Tahoe is Chevrolet’s flagship SUV that embodies the brand’s SUV development expertise and heritage, representing the authentic SUV identity unique to the Chevrolet brand.


Gustavo Colossi, Vice President of Sales, Service, and Marketing at GM Korea Operations, said, "Despite the seasonal off-peak period and the reduced number of business days due to the Lunar New Year holiday, our strategic models received steady responses from customers both domestically and internationally. In February, we will actively expand marketing activities with various purchase benefits such as interest-free installments to further broaden our consumer touchpoints."


Meanwhile, GM will conduct a special promotion throughout February. Customers purchasing the Chevrolet Trax crossover, Trailblazer, Colorado, and GMC Sierra will be offered various installment programs including interest-free installments, lump-sum purchase benefits, and cash incentives.
