Gwangju Buk-gu Announces Call for Hometown Love Fund Designated Donation Projects

Until the 7th...
Low Birth Rate, Companion Animals, and More

On the 3rd, Buk-gu District of Gwangju announced that it will hold an open call for designated donation projects for the Hometown Love Fund to improve residents' welfare and solve local issues.

Unlike general donation projects, where the local government determines how donations are used, this project allows donors to know the specific use of their contributions, resulting in higher donor satisfaction.

Through this initiative, the district will focus on discovering up to two highly impactful projects in areas such as low birth rate, companion animals, youth, employment, environment, culture and arts, tourism, and disaster response.

A total of 1 million won in Onnuri gift certificates will be awarded, with 500,000 won for the grand prize, 300,000 won for excellence, and 100,000 won for encouragement.

Anyone can participate in the open call. Applications can be submitted by mail, in person, or by email by referring to the announcement posted on the district office's website by the 7th.
