Discussion on Support Measures to Expand Overseas Advancement of Korean Companies
The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 3rd that it will form the 'K-Logistics Task Force (TF)' with representatives of domestic logistics companies and related organizations to respond to uncertainties in the global logistics market.
The TF will discuss the analysis of risks and opportunities arising from the restructuring of the global logistics supply chain, as well as support measures to expand the overseas advancement of Korean companies. The Ministry plans to hold regular TF meetings to share key investment information such as logistics market trends and local real estate data, and provide a one-stop solution from information provision to local investment support, including matching funds between companies and public institutions and linking joint investments.
On the same day, the Ministry held the TF launch ceremony and a meeting with CEOs of logistics companies at the Lotte Hotel in Seoul, seeking cooperation plans with major logistics companies and overseas logistics support organizations such as the Korea Ocean Business Corporation and Busan Port Authority.
Kang Do-hyung, Minister of Oceans and Fisheries, stated, "As uncertainties in the global logistics supply chain increase further this year, strong cooperation between the public sector and private companies is more important than ever for a swift response," adding, "Through the K-Logistics TF, we plan to provide comprehensive support so that our logistics companies can systematically build global supply chains."
