Programs Offered in Short, Mid, and Long-Term Courses
Aimed at Restoring Confidence and More
Daejeon City announced that starting from the 3rd, it will implement the 2025 Youth Challenge Support Project to help young people who have given up on job seeking recover their daily lives and participate in the labor market.
The target group includes young people aged 18 to 34 who have given up on job seeking, those preparing for independence, youths entering or leaving welfare facilities, and North Korean defector youths. Young people residing in Daejeon can participate as regionally specialized applicants up to the age of 39.
The program is divided into short-term (5 weeks), mid-term (15 weeks), and long-term (25 weeks) courses, offering various programs to help restore confidence, explore career paths, and strengthen employment capabilities.
Participants in the short-term course will receive a participation allowance of 500,000 KRW, while those in the mid- and long-term courses can receive up to 3.5 million KRW, including completion, job-seeking, and employment or entrepreneurship incentives in addition to the participation allowance.
Youths wishing to participate in the project, which begins in March, can apply through the Goyong24 website. Detailed information can also be found in the announcements on the Daejeon Job Support Center website.
Kwon Kyungmin, Director of Economic Affairs for Daejeon City, said, "We hope that the Youth Challenge Support Project will become an opportunity for young people struggling to participate in the labor market to transform their daily lives amid the employment freeze."
