'Baeksul Yuksueneun 1 Bun Ring' Surpasses 7 Million Packs Sold
Cumulative Sales Reach 30 Billion KRW
CJ CheilJedang announced on the 3rd that its convenient coin broth product, 'Baeksul Yuksueneun 1 Bun Ring,' surpassed 7 million packs sold (based on 80g units) in just over a year since its launch.
This sales volume corresponds to 140 million servings of broth for one person. Monthly average sales have also continuously grown, with cumulative sales reaching 30 billion KRW (based on consumer price conversion).
The product comes in two varieties: anchovy and dried kelp broth, and beef bone broth. It features a high content of key raw materials for a deep flavor, and its 'ring' shape with a hollow center allows it to dissolve in boiling water in just one minute. It is highly versatile, suitable not only for various broth dishes but also for stir-fry dishes that require short cooking times.
CJ CheilJedang explained that thanks to these advantages, the product has gained popularity through word of mouth among single-person households and consumers who enjoy cooking. In fact, on social networking services (SNS), there are increasing posts showing how this product is used to easily complete various dishes such as broth-based meals and tteokbokki.
Joo Sujin, a representative from CJ CheilJedang, said, "With its product quality that delivers a deep broth flavor easily and conveniently, 'Baeksul Yuksueneun 1 Bun Ring' has quickly captured consumers' tastes," adding, "It will establish itself as a leading convenient product representing the Baeksul brand’s goal of 'Simple Cooking.'"
