Moon Jae-in Emphasizes, "Politics Without Reading Leads to National Decline"
Urges Politicians, Especially Presidents, to Read More Books
Former President Moon Jae-in stated on the 1st, "Politics that do not read books cause the country to decline, divide, and make the lives of the people regress."
On the same day, former President Moon introduced the book 'The President's Reading' by poet Shin Dong-ho, who served as the speech secretary at the Blue House during the Moon Jae-in administration, on Facebook, calling it "the first book I want to recommend in the new year."
Former President Moon said, "The book's band contains a recommendation that reads, 'Again, waiting for a president who reads books,'" adding, "People in politics should read a lot of books. The president is even more so in such a position."
Former President Moon stated, "It is said that 6 out of 10 adults in our country do not read even one book a year," and "this is why seemingly normal people flounder in ghostly delusions, calling others pro-North Korean leftists, left-wing communist sympathizers, or anti-state forces."
