Uijeongbu City, Gyeonggi Province (Mayor Kim Dong-geun) announced on the 31st that it will recruit 15 participants for the 'New Security Guard Training' from February 11 to 17 to expand employment opportunities for the senior generation in the city.
Eligible participants are security job seekers aged between 55 and 65 who reside in Uijeongbu. Selection will be made based on the necessity of training and employment willingness, and the training will be conducted over four days from February 24 to 27.
Selected trainees will complete 10 mandatory legal courses required for security duties, including the Security Services Act, Crime Prevention Theory, Facility Security and Equipment, and Escort Security, and will obtain a New Security Guard Certificate upon completion.
In particular, communication methods and service mindset training for handling civil complaints will help participants acquire practical skills needed for actual employment. Additionally, full reimbursement of training fees will be provided after completing the course.
Those wishing to participate can apply by visiting the Uijeongbu City Job Support Center (10 Dunya-ro, 1st floor of the Labor Welfare Center) during the recruitment period.
Kang Seong-su, Director of the Job Policy Division, stated, “We will strive to expand practical, customized vocational training opportunities for the senior group facing employment difficulties and provide various employment-related services.”
