BBQ Donates 1,000 Chickens to Social Welfare Facilities

Chicken franchise Genesis BBQ Group announced on the 31st that it donated a cumulative total of over 1,000 chickens to local social welfare facilities throughout January through the 'Chicken University Good Donation' program.


The Chicken University Good Donation is BBQ's representative social contribution activity that has continued for 26 years. At Chicken University, a franchise training facility located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province, family members (franchise owners) and employees who receive training before store openings prepare chickens that are then donated to nearby welfare facilities.


BBQ Donates 1,000 Chickens to Social Welfare Facilities BBQ donated a total of approximately 1,000 chickens to local social welfare facilities through the 'Chicken University Good Donation' campaign during the month of January this year.

Just before the Lunar New Year holiday, BBQ delivered 40 chickens to a senior welfare center located in Icheon, Gyeonggi Province. In addition, throughout January, they visited more than 10 child and senior welfare facilities in areas such as Icheon, Suwon, and Yongin through group homes and the Korean Red Cross.


The number of chickens delivered to the local community by BBQ through the Chicken University Good Donation in January was over 1,000, which amounts to approximately 23 million KRW in value.


A BBQ representative stated, "In the new year of Eulsan, we are continuing the Chicken University Good Donation with our family members to spread positive influence," adding, "This year as well, we will continue the value of sharing through various activities for marginalized neighbors."
