Musinsa announced on the 31st that it successfully held the first pop-up store of the fashion brand 'Matin Kim,' which it officially distributes in Japan, this year.

In November last year, Musinsa signed a partnership agreement with Matin Kim for exclusive distribution in the Japanese market and is collaborating on all aspects of the brand business, including online and offline distribution, marketing, and promotion in the local market.

The pop-up store was held from the 22nd to the 28th of this month at the Hankyu Umeda Department Store main branch in Osaka, Japan. At the pop-up site, Matin Kim's Fall/Winter (FW) collection and popular items were showcased.

Approximately 9,000 people visited the pop-up store during the one-week event. Long queues formed as customers tried to participate in the 'open run.' Especially among female customers in their 20s and 30s, around 60 items such as the popular 'Half Shirring Ribbon Round Bag,' 'Matin Kim Logo Coated Jumper,' and 'Macaron Logo Ball Cap' sold out during the event, showing a strong response.

The combined online and offline sales generated during the pop-up store period reached about 600 million KRW. Online, an event was held in connection with the Musinsa Global Store, which officially sells Matin Kim products, creating a synergy effect between online and offline channels.

A Musinsa representative said, "This year, Musinsa plans to focus on ensuring Matin Kim's successful market establishment as a partner for entry into Japan and further expanding the base of domestic designer brands."
