Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters Announces on the 25th

The Central Disaster and Safety Countermeasures Headquarters for Highly Pathogenic Avian Influenza (AI) announced on the 25th that H5N1 type highly pathogenic AI was confirmed at a duck farm located in Jincheon-gun, Chungbuk.

This brings the total number of highly pathogenic AI cases at poultry farms nationwide during the 2024?2025 outbreak season to 29.

The headquarters deployed an initial response team to the farm to control access, carry out culling, and conduct an epidemiological investigation.

Additionally, to detect infected animals early, detailed inspections will be conducted on 32 duck farms in Chungbuk Province and 6 contract duck farms affiliated with Nonghyup Mokwoochon nationwide until the 6th of next month.
