Busan Gijang-gun held the 'Seol Holiday Muju-gun Direct Market' in the lobby on the first floor of the Gijang-gun Office for two days on the 23rd and 24th.
Since forming a sisterhood relationship with Muju-gun, Gijang-gun has held the 'Muju-gun Direct Market' every holiday season. This Lunar New Year, they prepared an event to introduce Muju-gun's excellent agricultural products and specialties.
At the direct market, agricultural specialties from Muju-gun such as deodeok (Codonopsis lanceolata), apples, and honey were sold, attracting great interest from residents by offering prices lower than those in the market.
Jeong Jong-bok, the county governor, said, "I am pleased to widely promote Muju-gun's outstanding agricultural specialties through this event and provide Gijang residents with the opportunity to purchase high-quality agricultural products at affordable prices." He added, "We will continue cooperation between Gijang-gun and Muju-gun to further activate economic exchanges between the two cities."
