Fire at a Farm Machinery Warehouse in Miryang... 60 Million Won Property Damage

At around 7:39 a.m. on the 24th, a fire broke out in an agricultural machinery warehouse in Sangnam-myeon, Miryang-si, Gyeongnam.

The fire completely destroyed one agricultural machinery storage building, and partially burned one building used as both a residence and a warehouse.

Two brush cutters, three cultivators, five pesticide machines stored in the warehouse, as well as the solar power facilities on the warehouse roof, were reduced to ashes.

According to the fire department's estimate, property damage amounted to about 60 million won, but there were no casualties.

The fire authorities deployed 32 personnel and 14 pieces of equipment, extinguishing the major fire by 8:43 a.m. and completing the extinguishing process by 11:56 a.m.

During this process, to prevent the fire from spreading on the sandwich panel structure of the warehouse roof, two heavy machines were used to remove the roof and demolish the warehouse building to put out the fire.

It is known that solar panels had been installed on the roof of the warehouse.

The fire authorities are investigating the exact cause of the fire based on the statement of the reporter, who said, "The electricity was cut off during work, and after turning the circuit breaker back on, sparks flew near the ceiling, causing the fire."
