Hollys Coffee did not inform consumers or the media about the price increase. No notices could be found on their website or in stores.

Hollys Coffee stated, "Due to the rising costs of key raw materials, operating stores has become more burdensome, so we had no choice but to adjust the prices of some menu items," adding, "We maintained the price of the tall size for coffee menus that are highly preferred by customers and have a large sales share to minimize the burden on customers."

Recently, due to the rise in coffee bean prices and the depreciation of the Korean won, Starbucks and Paul Bassett also raised their coffee prices.
