On the 24th, the Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters conducted a 'Fire Prevention Campaign for the Spread of Safety Culture' at the Gwangju Intercity Bus Terminal, targeting travelers returning home for the Lunar New Year holiday.

The campaign was jointly organized by the Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters, Seobu Fire Station, Volunteer Fire Brigade, Korea Gas Safety Corporation, Haeyang Energy, and other related organizations. They focused on various fire prevention topics, including residential fire safety equipment and vehicle fire extinguishers.

During the campaign, they distributed leaflets and promotional items to encourage fire prevention during the holiday period. They also carried out non-face-to-face promotional activities, such as broadcasting fire prevention videos on large outdoor electronic billboards and installing banners and standing signs with related information.

The Fire Safety Headquarters also designated the day as 'CPR Day,' operating fire safety education booths at the Gwangju Intercity Bus Terminal, Gwangju Songjeong Station, and Gwangju Station. These booths provided one-on-one customized CPR training and hands-on experience in using emergency escape devices. The training included CPR theory and practice, how to wear and use emergency escape equipment, and the Heimlich maneuver.

Kim Moon-yong, head of the Gwangju Fire Safety Headquarters, said, "We will do our best to foster a fire prevention culture together with citizens for a safe and enjoyable Lunar New Year holiday."
