The supported vehicle is Hyundai Motor Company's ‘Nexo’, and the subsidy is 32.5 million KRW per vehicle (22.5 million KRW from the national government, 10 million KRW from the city government). The city plans to invest a budget of 812.5 million KRW this year to support a total of 25 vehicles. Three vehicles, which is 10% of the announced quantity, will be given priority to vulnerable groups, multi-child families, and first-time vehicle buyers.

Eligible applicants are individuals or sole proprietors who have had an address in Uijeongbu City for more than three months, or corporations or companies with headquarters, branches, or factories located in the city. Individuals (including sole proprietors) can apply for one vehicle, and corporations can apply for up to two vehicles.

Subsidy applications can be made through the zero-emission vehicle purchase subsidy system after signing a purchase contract with a dealership. Detailed information can be found on the city’s official website under the public notices section or on the zero-emission vehicle integrated website. For further inquiries, assistance is available at the city’s Climate Energy Division.

Lee Jong-ho, head of the Climate Energy Division, said, “We plan to actively support the purchase of hydrogen vehicles, which are zero-emission eco-friendly cars, to improve air quality, and we encourage many applications.”
