This year, Sejong Center added 400 'Subscription Plus' tickets, which allow booking up to two tickets per person for a membership fee of 69,600 KRW?30,000 KRW more than the existing 'Subscription' product?and doubled the total subscription service volume to 1,000 tickets compared to last year. Despite this increase, all tickets sold out on the day of sales. The center also announced that a special Silver Package, designed for audiences aged 65 and older, sold out 100 tickets within two hours of sales opening.
Sejong Center analyzed that its strengthened in-house production capabilities and differentiated communication and marketing activities to establish the arts troupe’s repertoire were effective. The center has been striving to discover new consumer groups by providing unique audience experiences such as 'Seongsu Pop-up,' 'themed experience spaces for each performance,' 'Sweet Seats operation,' and 'performances enjoyed with beer.' At the business presentation on the 21st, they newly unveiled the 'Sejong Inspiration Series,' which offers various artistic experiences beyond traditional theater spaces, including ballet music appreciation on stage, dining in the grand theater lobby, and art conferences held in outdoor gardens.
Sejong Center President An Hosang said, "By observing changes in performance consumption patterns, we improved services so that audiences can make more reasonable and satisfying choices, and expanded audience experiences, which seems to have led to the sold-out results. Moving forward, we will prepare even more moving and high-quality works to repay the trust of our audiences."
The 2025 Sejong Season will open with the Seoul Ballet Company's performance of 'Decadance.' Decadance, choreographed by the world-renowned choreographer Ohad Naharin, will premiere on March 14 at Sejong Center’s M Theater.
