Assemblyman Yoon, along with Democratic Party city council members of Guri and local committee officials, toured every corner of the traditional market to closely examine the difficulties merchants face due to rising prices and domestic demand stagnation that have continued since the imposition of martial law and impeachment. He also empathized with the economic hardships felt by citizens and emphasized that stabilizing the livelihood economy is of utmost importance.

Yoon stated, “Due to the recent soaring prices, the burden of grocery prices is significant. Especially with the Lunar New Year approaching, the rising prices of ritual items and holiday foods are greatly impacting household budgets. Therefore, I will do my best to ensure that supplementary budgets for revitalizing domestic demand are promptly prepared at the National Assembly level.” He added, “We will devise and actively implement multifaceted measures to resolve the dual difficulties of rising prices and domestic demand stagnation.”

Additionally, Yoon said, “I frequently use traditional markets and strive to invigorate the local economy,” purchasing necessary items for the holiday himself and sharing warm New Year greetings with merchants and citizens.

On that day, Yoon urged the citizens he met at Guri Traditional Market, saying, “Traditional markets are the heart of the local economy. Let us use Guri Traditional Market more often to grow the local economy.”

He also added, “Last year, the completion of the second public parking lot and improvements in parking conditions greatly enhanced accessibility to the traditional market, bringing positive changes to both merchants and citizens. Moving forward, I will continue to communicate steadily with the merchants’ association and citizens to further improve the traditional market environment.”

Meanwhile, Assemblyman Yoon secured 17.3 billion KRW in national funds, accounting for about 60% of the total construction budget, through the Ministry of SMEs and Startups’ traditional market parking environment improvement project in 2018 to promote the construction of the second public parking lot at Guri Traditional Market. This project was completed in September last year and is highly regarded for significantly contributing to enhancing citizens’ convenience and improving merchants’ business environments.
