"Actively Participating in the Recovery of the Local Economy"
The Muan County Council in Jeonnam (Chairman Lee Hosung) held a 'Traditional Market Shopping Event' on the 24th ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday.
This event was organized with the hope of supporting traditional market merchants who have been experiencing ongoing economic downturns and to serve as a catalyst for the recovery of the local economy during the nation's biggest holiday, Seol.

The council members visited Muan Traditional Market, listened to the difficulties and suggestions of the market merchants, and then, together with the council office staff, purchased local specialties and ritual goods to promote the use of traditional markets.
Chairman Lee Hosung said, "Due to the unstable domestic situation, including the passenger plane disaster, the local economy has become very stagnant," and added, "In the new year of Eulsanyeon, I sincerely hope the local economy will be revitalized and that we can return to our ordinary daily lives."
Meanwhile, the Muan County Council is scheduled to visit Illo Traditional Market on the 26th to hold another traditional market shopping event for the Lunar New Year.
