During this period, Uijeongbu Eulji University Hospital will set up health consultation booths at Uijeongbu Station (Monday), Yangju Station (Tuesday and Thursday), and Hoeryong Station (Wednesday) from Monday to Thursday each week. They will provide blood pressure and blood sugar tests as well as basic education on chronic disease prevention. The booths will operate from 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM.
This campaign is part of a community health promotion program aimed at improving awareness of common chronic diseases.
Hypertension and diabetes can cause various complications, including cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, so it is important to regularly monitor these levels.
In particular, patients with hypertension or diabetes should pay close attention to regular check-ups as well as managing their blood vessels and blood sugar levels.
Additionally, it is important to refrain from drinking and smoking, maintain regular exercise, and follow a healthy diet.
Director Song Hyun said, “We hope this campaign will help local residents successfully manage chronic diseases,” adding, “We will continue to develop various health programs that directly benefit residents to protect the health of the community.”
