Yangsan City to Launch Ultra-Precise Bus Map Service in February 2025

Yangsan City in Gyeongnam Province plans to officially launch its ultra-precise bus map service starting February 1, 2025.

Currently, this service is being piloted on the KakaoMap smartphone app and is available for Yangsan city buses and village buses.

The main feature of this ultra-precise bus map service allows users to check the bus location, operating speed, and estimated arrival time in real-time every 3 seconds via the KakaoMap app on smartphones. Notably, buses traveling between nearby Yangsan and the cities of Busan and Ulsan can also be tracked in real-time.

This will enable citizens using public transportation to obtain more accurate and prompt bus information, significantly reducing waiting times. Especially for residents in outlying areas without bus arrival information displays, they will be able to easily check bus information through KakaoMap, greatly enhancing information accessibility.

Park Suk-jin, Director of the Information and Statistics Division, stated, “This ultra-precise bus map service will play an important role in promoting public transportation use and reducing citizens’ waiting times. We will further strengthen transportation convenience between Yangsan and Busan·Ulsan.”
