Seodaemun-gu and Severance Hospital Sign 'Health Lecture Cooperation Agreement'

Seodaemun-gu District Office in Seoul and Severance Hospital have agreed to collaborate in creating various courses to promote residents' health. Seodaemun-gu (Mayor Lee Seongheon) announced on the 24th that it recently signed a 'Memorandum of Understanding for Community Resident Health Promotion' with Severance Hospital (Director Lee Kangyoung).

The main contents of the agreement include planning and operating health lectures to promote the health of local residents, cooperation in providing venues and facilities necessary for holding health lectures, promotion of health lectures, and other matters for the mutual development of both institutions.

Taking this agreement as an opportunity, the two institutions will hold health lectures on various topics every month to provide residents with practical health information. On the 15th, Professor Kim Eosu from the Department of Psychiatry at Severance Hospital gave a lecture titled 'Understanding and Preventing Dementia' at the 'Uri Lounge' on the 3rd floor of the main building of Severance Hospital. Following this, on the 19th of next month, Professor Lee Chanju from the Department of Cardiology will give a lecture on 'Prevention and Management of Hypertension' at the same location.

Mayor Lee Seongheon said, “This agreement was promoted to provide useful knowledge and professional information for the prevention and management of chronic diseases, and we will continue to make various efforts to promote residents' health.”
