Pro-Han Faction Leads Han's Return Movement
Kim Jonghyuk: "A Message Likely After Lunar New Year"
A movement for the return of former People Power Party (PPP) leader Han Dong-hoon, centered around the pro-Han faction (Chinhan, Chinhan Donghoon), is emerging.
Kim Kyung-yul, a former PPP emergency committee member considered part of the pro-Han faction, revealed on the 23rd during CBS Radio's 'Park Jae-hong's One-on-One Show' that he has been in contact with former leader Han.

Kim said, "In fact, I received a text message from former leader Han first today as well," adding, "Since he stepped down as leader, I've received texts about three or four times, but today he sent a message saying, 'How have you been?' so I replied immediately. However, the conversation abruptly stopped there."
He continued, "I wondered if he might have sent the message by mistake, but on the other hand, I feel like he is deeply contemplating something."
Kim also mentioned that the timing of former leader Han's comeback is imminent. He said, "I once mentioned that since Han was, on the surface, seen as having failed or been ousted by the PPP, the timing of his return depends more on external circumstances rather than his own decision," adding, "I think it would be desirable for Han to emerge as a strong alternative within the ruling party, but given the current situation, at least on the surface, it seems quite challenging."
Kim Jong-hyuk, a former PPP Supreme Council member and also part of the pro-Han faction, referred to former leader Han's return. On the same day, during YTN Radio's 'Shin Yul's News Face-Off,' he said, "I think he is just quietly observing this situation, but how long can that last? After the Lunar New Year, I think some kind of message will come out."
