Muan Police Seungdal Patrol Station Launches 'Special Security Measures' for Lunar New Year

Crime Prevention Through Local Public Safety Community Activities

The Seungdal Police Box of the Muan Police Station in Jeonnam (Chief Kang Yongjun) announced on the 24th that, ahead of the Lunar New Year holiday, they conducted a joint patrol for crime prevention with the Voluntary Crime Prevention Corps and the Community Safety Council in the Muan-eup area from 8 to 9 p.m. on the 23rd.

This joint patrol is being carried out as part of a special comprehensive security plan for the Lunar New Year holiday, running for 11 days from the 20th to the 30th. The Seungdal Police Box chief, staff members, the head of Muan-eup Voluntary Crime Prevention Corps, and the head of Muan-eup Community Safety Council, along with other civilian cooperation groups, are participating to strengthen the local public safety community.


During the Lunar New Year holiday, Seungdal Police Box will conduct intensive patrols of vulnerable locations such as financial institutions, jewelry stores, convenience stores, and unmanned shops. To prevent burglary during the holiday, they will post burglary prevention tips on electronic displays, such as calling 112 if suspicious individuals are seen near residences and ensuring doors are securely locked. They also plan to continue visible patrol activities throughout the holiday period.


Chief Kang Yongjun stated, "With the extended Lunar New Year holiday designated as a temporary holiday, we will do our utmost in preventive activities so that residents can enjoy a safe and warm holiday."
