On the 23rd, Yongin City announced that it will hold a briefing session on the 13th of next month at the City Hall Ace Hall to select the equipment necessary for the construction of the SK Hynix fab within the 'Yongin Semiconductor Cluster General Industrial Complex.'
This briefing session is in accordance with consultations with SK Ecoplant, the contractor for the production line construction. Previously, the city decided to utilize local equipment resources at the construction site through a 'Business Agreement for Early Commencement of Production Line and Local Construction Industry' with SK Hynix.
The city will provide a meeting room for the briefing session and promote and encourage participation so that local companies can attend. Additionally, the city will verify registered equipment under its jurisdiction to support local companies in benefiting from this opportunity.
The briefing session targets equipment companies and associations within the Yongin area. The equipment in question includes cranes, aerial work platforms, forklifts, and others. Companies wishing to attend must submit their business registration certificate, documents proving they are based in Yongin, and a list of owned equipment on the day of the briefing.
During the briefing, the site and construction overview of the Yongin Semiconductor Cluster General Industrial Complex will be disclosed, along with the expected timing and scale of equipment deployment by type. For more details, please refer to the city’s website or the official announcement.
Mayor Lee Sang-il of Yongin stated, "To revitalize the local economy and promote win-win cooperation between companies and the region, we will continue communication with the project implementers to ensure that Yongin’s resources are utilized in the upcoming construction projects."
