Haman-gun Holds 2025 Haman Residents' Day Promotion Committee Meeting

To Be Held from April 25 to 27

Haman-gun, Gyeongnam Province, held the 2025 Haman-gun Residents' Day Promotion Committee meeting at the annex conference room of the county office, with 27 committee members including Chairman Jo Geun-je, the county governor, in attendance to ensure the successful hosting of the 2025 Haman-gun Residents' Day event.

The meeting held on the 22nd proceeded in the order of awarding committee appointment certificates, electing executives, deciding the event period, reviewing and approving the event plan and budget, and exploring development plans.

As executives of the Promotion Committee, Lee Man-ho, chairman of the Haman County Council, was elected as the ex officio vice chairman, and Park Jong-hee, chairman of the Haman Chamber of Commerce and Industry, was elected as vice chairman. Shin Hae-geun, branch manager of NH Nonghyup Bank Haman Branch, was elected as auditor.

Haman-gun decided to hold the Haman Residents' Day event for three days from April 25 to 27 at Hamju Park and Haman Public Stadium to reflect on the significance of Residents' Day and to provide a venue for communication and harmony.

Additionally, the Virgin Boatman National Song Festival will be promoted as a pre-event, and the Korea Watermelon Festival will be held in conjunction with the shipment period of Haman watermelons, the county's representative agricultural specialty product. The 2025 Haman Street Dance Festival will also be held, providing residents with various cultural and artistic experiences and promoting diverse events that enhance the county's status as a high-quality cultural, artistic, and sports city.

Jo Geun-je, chairman of the Haman-gun Residents' Day Promotion Committee and county governor, urged, “Please make thorough preparations to ensure that the event becomes a substantial occasion that fosters residents' unity and communication, as well as their love for their hometown.”
