NRB, Ramenjo PC Modular First High-Rise Certification in Korea... IPO Launch to Innovate Construction Industry

NRB, which is pursuing a KOSDAQ listing, is bringing a wave of innovation to the high-rise modular construction market.

Mobile modular manufacturing innovation company NRB (CEO Kang Geon-woo) announced on the 23rd that it has completed the architectural society certification for the Ramenjo PC (Precast Concrete) modular construction method to be applied to Korea's first high-rise modular public housing project.

The Ramenjo PC modular technology introduced by NRB is highly regarded for not only stacking modules like 'Lego blocks' but also solving the most critical safety issues in high-rise construction. This technology assembles factory-prefabricated modules on-site, shortening construction periods and minimizing on-site work, resulting in labor and cost savings. In other words, it is a future-oriented construction technology that combines safety, quality, and efficiency.

In particular, NRB secured structural safety at the joints between modules to withstand external shocks such as earthquakes, and officially recognized its technology by obtaining the architectural society certification for the first time in Korea for the intermediate moment structure in steel frame and PC modular construction.

Additionally, NRB's concrete PC modular method ensures high fire resistance and sound insulation performance exceeding that of conventional concrete buildings. Furthermore, by adopting a robust ramen structure composed of columns and beams, it maximizes resistance to vertical and horizontal loads.

NRB CEO Kang Geon-woo stated, “Through the Uiwang Chopyeong A-4BL project, we plan to demonstrate the commercialization potential of the Ramenjo PC modular technology and lead the high-rise modular construction market in Korea. Furthermore, we will accelerate securing competitiveness in the global construction market through overseas expansion.”

Industry experts anticipate that NRB's Ramenjo PC modular technology will contribute not only to improving construction productivity, shortening construction periods, and enhancing quality but also positively impact the sustainable development of the construction industry.

Meanwhile, NRB is the world’s first company to commercialize ramen-style PC modular construction and the first in Korea to succeed in 100% factory production rate modular commercialization. Based on the certified high-rise modular technology, NRB submitted a preliminary review application to the Korea Exchange on the 22nd for a KOSDAQ listing to accelerate innovation in the construction industry.
