"This Is Not Our Jjamppong"... The Reason Baek Jong-won Was Angry About the 'Hong Kong Banjeom Raid' On the 21st, Baek Jong-won released a video titled "Went to Inspect Hong Kong Banjeom Jjamppong" on his YouTube channel. Since last year, Baek Jong-won has been creating content that inspects his franchise restaurants. YouTube channel "Baek Jong-won PAIK JONG WON"

In the video, Baek said, "If I suddenly enter the store with a camera, the kitchen already knows, so it can't be a perfect surprise raid," adding, "The production team hides the camera and enters first to place an order, and when the food comes out, I go in and try it." Tasting the jjamppong at one store using this method, Baek expressed disappointment. He analyzed, "There should originally be more vegetables than this," and "There is no smoky flavor at all in the taste."

With a wry smile, saying, "I'm criticizing my own dish," Baek said, "This is not our jjamppong." Then, entering the kitchen, he said, "Go boil it again," and announced, "I will order one jjamppong rice and two jjamppongs." Returning to the table, Baek said, "If the food ordered again tastes different, the portions come out properly, and there is even a smoky flavor, it means they know the recipe but didn’t follow it," and lamented, "If I see such a lax attitude, I would feel betrayed."

He expressed regret, saying, "The staff might be tired, and doing kitchen work every day in the same routine is mentally exhausting," and added, "The reason I worry about this is that if this becomes a habit, they will quickly give up even when doing their own work." He also said, "The original concept of Hong Kong Banjeom was to brighten the kitchen so that the face of the person stir-frying could be seen," and added, "But gradually, the kitchen has become darker, and many things blocking the kitchen have appeared."

When the second order of jjamppong came out, he said, "This has a milky beef bone soup-like color. The amount of ingredients is different, and it even smells like beef broth," and expressed anger, "They could have done this but didn’t." Baek entered the kitchen again and said, "If you can do it, why haven’t you done it until now?" and sharply told them, "Try eating and comparing the jjamppong that came out earlier and the one that just came out." He advised, "If you make and sell it like this for just one month, customers will be impressed." Afterwards, the video showed The Born Korea headquarters staff visiting the store to conduct retraining.
