Gwangju Buk-gu is taking proactive steps to address welfare blind spots.

On the 23rd, the district announced plans to implement key initiatives such as integrated care, operation of a support team for socially isolated households, and the "First Step Toward Dreams" program for self-reliant youth.

First, the Buk-gu-style integrated care program will provide 32 detailed services, including home medical care, housing, meals, and smart care, with a total budget of approximately 3.3 billion KRW from national and local funds.

Additionally, starting in March, the public-private partnership support team for socially isolated households will identify and support isolated households, such as those who have lost eligibility for benefits or single-person households classified as medium- to high-risk who refuse care services and other support, helping them recover their daily lives.

Furthermore, beginning in March, the "First Step Toward Dreams" support project will provide up to 2 million KRW for self-reliant youth preparing to enter society, covering costs such as certification acquisition and congratulatory funds for successful employment or entrepreneurship.
